It was a poor first half, but Notts County took the lead on 35 minutes after a free kick just outside the area found Lawrie Dudfield who headed in from close range to give County the lead.
Swindon only started to play well after about 70 minutes and finally scored on 77 minutes when a 30 yard shot from Michael Timlin just crepted to the left of the right hand post and into the back of the net to make it 1-1.
Swindon nearly took the lead a couple of minutes later when a Lee Peacock header hit the bar, and Christian Roberts also came close to scoring, but despite 4 minutes of stoppage time Swindon ran out of time and had to settle for the 1-1 draw.
Overall a draw was a fair result with neither side playing that well. The game was played in rain, and heavy wind, but won't go down in history as a game to remember. Swindon travel the shortish distance to Milton Keynes on New Years Day in a game which is a sell out for Swindon fans.
