Swindon 1 Oldham 0

Roberts who joined Swindon during the week from Bristol City scored Swindon's only goal of the game after 14 minutes. Oldham had passed the ball back to their 'keeper who missed it, and it was hit too hard, and the ball went out of play, and Swindon were given a corner, which was taken by Andy Nicholas, when the ball fell to Roberts who scored from a close range angle.

Both goal keepers came close to making mistakes, but neither side was able to score from the mistake. Evans nearly handled to ball outside the box when he saved the ball right on the line, but the referee ruled that he was just inside his box, so play could go on.

Paul Mitchell was booked for diving in the box, after trying to get Swindon a penalty, but the referee didn't agree.

In the second half Oldham looked to have improved on their first half performance, but they still didn't threaten the Swindon goal very often.
Swindon pushed forward and had lots of chances to score, but with no Sam Parkin on the pitch they were unable to score, the closest coming after they hit the post.

Overall a fairly average game, with Swindon not playing that well, and Oldham, a bit like Hartlepool a few weeks ago were a poor side. Andy King said it was one of the worst games he's seen Swindon play he, which he seems to say after nearly every game. Swindon have game mid week when they travel on Tuesdat to play Port Vale. Last season this game ended 3-3 after Port Vale were leading 3-0 in the second half.
