Swindon 1 Peterborough 1

A poor game for both sides saw few chances throughout the whole game. Swindon came close a couple of times with both Andy Gurney and Johnie Jackson coming close with free kicks.

The game looked to be heading for a bore 0-0 drew when on 73 minutes Peterborough broke away and Bullard up on his own was able to beat the Swindon defence to put POSH into the lead.

A few minutes later Swindon were level after Eric Sabin went down right on the goal line, the game seems to be carrying on, when the ref decided to point to the spot and give Swindon a penalty. Sam Parkin stepped forward and sent the keeper the wrong way to score his 13th goal of the season in only his 17th start.

Swindon had late chances to win the game, but in the end were quite lucky to have come away with a point.

Swindon now face a break from the league as they travel to short distance to Oxford net Sunday in the FA Cup 2nd Round.
