Swindon's team was the same as in last weeks 1-0 loss to Stockport, although Willis did come on in the 2nd half to replace Reeves in defence.

Swindon started to game well against Port Vale and took an early lead when from a Jimmy Davis cross the ball found Andy Gurney who was able to score from close range on 7 minutes.

Swindon then went close again, but just two minutes later Port Vale were level when Bridge-Wilkinson shot went through Griemink's legs.

The game looked like it would end up at 1-1 with only a few chances for each side, Swindon did come close a few times, but as normal couldn't get the ball in the back of the net. Griemink had a quiet game in the Swindon goal, with only a couple of saves to make.

Bridge-Wilkinson scored his second of the game mid way through the second half with a header to put Port Vale into the lead.

A few Swindon fans started to sing "What a load of rubbish" during the second half, as Swindon were slow to go forward.

Swindon now face a break from the league with a Worthington cup game on Wednesday against Wycombe at home with a 7.45 kick off.
