11,673 packed into the County Ground, in what could be Swindon's highest attendance of the season. Sean Morrison headed Swindon into the lead after just 9 minutes with a close range goal, following a corner. Swindon went onto to have chance after chance, but were stopped time and time again by a number of good saves made by the Saints 'keeper. Southampton did give Swindon a scare late on which Lucas having to make a save after a late free kick just outside the penalty box which was Southampton's best chance of the game. Overall a very good game, and a vast improvement of Saturday's 0-0 draw against Milton Keynes. Swindon now travel to Oldham this Saturday in the league.
