Just before half time Walsall took the lead after a mix up by Scott Cuthbert allowed Walsall the ball, and for Jones to score making it 1-0 to Walsall on 44 minutes.
After a corner Charlie Austin equalised for Swindon on 55 minutes from close range.
Walsall put all 11 players behind the ball, and keep defending for much of the game, stopping just about every single Swindon attack.
All the other results went Swindon's way with Leeds, Millwall and Charlton all losing. Overall an average game which Swindon really should have won. This leaves Swindon in 4th place going into next Saturday's local away trip at Wycombe.
