The first half was fairly dull, as both teams are just about safe and had nothing to play for.

The second half was a bit better, and Wigan took the lead after an hour, with Scott Green scoring from just outside the box for Wigan.

Eric Sabin then scored for Swindon 4 minutes later, when he collected the ball from 40 yards out, and ran past all the defence the score a vital goal for Swindon.

Swindon nearly took the lead a minute into injury time, but Andy Gurney's shot was well saved by the Wigan keeper.

The win leaves Swindon mid table with 51 points. Town have no game next week, and are next at home in two weeks time against Blackpool.
