Bournemouth took an early lead after on 5 minutes when James Hayter scored following a Bournemouth free kick.

10 minutes later Swindon were level as Tommy Mooney's scored his first ever goal at the Town End, his first goal for Swindon since October. Mooney's shot from the edge of the box looked to be going wide, but it just curled into the back of the net.

Swindon went into the half time break with the score level at 1-1. Both sides had chances to take the lead, but it was Swindon who looked the more threatening side.

On 80 minutes Swindon took the lead with Tommy Mooney scoring again from close range.

Parkin went close to adding a late 3rd goal, but in the end his miss didn't matter as Swindon recorded a 2-1 home win to start 2004.

Overall Swindon deserved to win, and the 2-1 result was a fair result. The win moves Swindon back into the play off's in 6th place. Next weekend Swindon travel to play Sheffield Wednesday.
