Swindon 2 Brentford 1

Swindon took an early lead after on 2 minutes when Andy Gurney scored from close range after an early corner.

At last the referee had a fairly good game, something which hasn't happened for the last few games. Shortly after half time Fullarton was sent off for Brentford for a foul on new boy Luke Nightingale.

Swindon then found themselves 2-0 up on 66 minutes when Sam Parkin was able to score his 15th goal of the season. The goal has been given to Parkin, although their was a bit of confusion as to who scored to the goal with Matt Heywood, and Eric Sabin also claiming it as well.

Swindon should have added a third when Invincibile went round the keeper and passed to Parkin who only had to tap it into the net, but somehow he managed to miss hit the ball, and it ended up still in play near the corner flag.

Brentford got a goal on 76 minutes Rowan Vine scored a good goal to keep Swindon on their toes for the last 15 minutes.

In the end Swindon won 2-1 and they played well against what was meant to be one of the division's better sides.

Swindon are now 15th in the table and now have to face 2 hard away games in 4 days when they play Wigan on Saturday, and Cardiff on new year's day.
