After 31 minutes Swindon took the lead with another goal from Charlie Austin, with his 13th goal of the season.
Then on 54 minutes Billy Paynter scored his 20th goal of the season to make it 2-0. He was able to flick on an Alan Sheehan free kick.
Both Danny Ward and Jonathan Douglas both came close for Swindon as well.
Overall an average game, which Swindon had more of the play then Carlisle, do derserved to win, and 2-0 was a fair result. This leaves Swindon in 5th place going into Tuesday evenings home game to Stockport.
