New Chairman Andrew Fitton was introduced to the crowd before the game.

Swindon started much better than against Brighton last week, and had a few shots on target in the first half.

Hartlepool scored just before half time after a free kick was given and scored from close range from Ian Moore to give the North East side a 1-0 lead going into the half time break.

On 49 minutes Swindon were level again after a cross from Comminges found Simon Cox who scored from close range much to the delight of the small home crowd of only 5,875.

Barry Corr was fouled in the box, and he then took the awarded penalty and scored in the 73 minute to make it 2-1 to Swindon.

Ady Williams come on after a long lay off after injury, but only lasted 3 minutes before he had to go off again after picking up another injury.

Hartlepool didn't look like scoring again, and Swindon were able to hold on for the 5 minutes of stoppage time to get their first win in December in the league.

Swindon now travel to Yeovil on Boxing Day hoping for another 3 points.
