Tranmere played their new signing Iffy Onoura who played for Swindon during the late 1990's. Iffy was given a good reception by the Town fans, after signing for Tranmere from Grimsby Town.
Sam Parkin opened the scoring for Swindon on 31 minutes with a close range header following an Swindon corner kick.

Rhys Evans had a quiet game, as Tranmere rarely threatened his goal, he didn't have a save to make all game.

Swindon close came close to scoring again when the ball was crossed in, and went right across the goal line, but there was no one there to force the ball into the back of the net.

Sam Parkin scored his 18th goal of the season on 82 minutes to confirm the Swindon win with a close range shot after a pass from Howard right in front of the full Town End stand.

Overall a good win for Swindon, Swindon played well thoughout the whole game, having most of the play as Tranmere rarely managed to get a shot on goal.

The win keeps Swindon in 4th, on 57 points. On Saturday Swindon will be looking for their 7th home win when they play Brentford.
