Swindon 2 Wycombe 0

Swindon made sure if was an unhappy return to the County Ground for new Wycombe manager John Gorman, Andy Thomson and goal keeper Frank Talia.

Swindon took the lead after only 11 minutes when on loan signing Deon Burton scored his first goal for Swindon since joining from Portsmouth. Burton beat Frank Talia running the ball in following a Tommy Mooney pass.

In the second half Swindon bought on Sam Parkin after 65 minutes for his first game for a month, and within two minutes Miglioranzi had made it 2-0 with a 25 yard strike beating the diving Frank Talia in the Wycombe goal.

Parkin came close to making it 3-0 with his header hitting the post, but Parkin will have to wait until next weekend's FA Cup game also with Wycombe to get on the score sheet.

Overall quite a poor game, but an important win for Swindon who now move back into the top half of the table in 10th place. Swindon now take a two week break from the league, and travel to play Wycombe again next week in the FA Cup, so another 2-0 win will do then.
