After Swindon's slow start to the season Swindon have now won their last four games moving up from 22nd in the league to 7th.

After many early chances Swindon's first goal came on 17 minutes when new loan signing Mark Yeates crossed to the ball for Henderson, also on loan to score from close range, making it his third goal in two games.

Swindon missed many more chances with Henderson, Yeates and Parkin coming close before Swindon added a second goal on 37 minutes when Sam Parkin scored from close range after being set up by Mark Yeates.

Swindon made it 3-0 on 40 minutes an Andy Gurney cross missed Sam Parkin, but found it's way onto the head of Hartlepool's Micheal Nelson who scored into the back of his own net.

At the break Swindon were 3-0 up, but could have easily have been 6 or 7-0 up. Hartlepool had barely had a shot on goal.

In the second half Hartlepool looked a bit better, and came close to scoring a couple of times, mainly in the last 15 minutes, but they never looked as if they would win the game.

Swindon seemed to have eased off a bit, and had less chances although Parkin shoudl have scored from close range, but the Hartlepool 'keeper was able to save it before Parkin took his shot.

A long distance Brian Howard shot also came close for Swindon going just over the bar. Rory Fallon also came on for Swindon with five minutes to go, and he too should have scored.

Overall a good win for Swindon, but the score could have been a lot higher if Swindon had taken all their chances. New players Henderson and Yeates both looked good, and both created a lot of chances, with Yeates having set up two of Swindon's goal, and he also came close to scoring himself in the first half.

Swindon now travel to the Midlands to play Walsall on Monday with a 3pm kick off.
