Swindon started with the same team which beat Southend 3-0 on Tuesday night.
Simon Cox opened the scoring for Swindon on 29 minutes with a close range header making it 1-0.
By 47 minutes Simon Cox had made it 2-0, but his goal looked offside, but it was finally given after the referee double checked with his linesman.
A few minutes later Swindon had the ball in the back of the net again, but this time the goal was ruled out.
Paynter made it 3-0 on 76 minutes again with a close range goal.
Overall another good win for Swindon with them taking their chances well, and limiting Hereford's chances. The win leaves Swindon two points above the relegation zone going into Tuesday nights away trip to Northampton, who are on equal 42 points with Swindon, but have a better goal difference.
