Swindon thought they had taken an early lead when Danny Invincibile scored, but the goal was not allowed.

Swindon scored twice in an action packed 5 minutes before half time, with the first by Andy Gurney, who's shot hit the bar, came back and hit a Port Vale player, and went in.

Seconds later Swindon thought they had scored again with Invincibile amost went round the keeper, however a minute later Swindon did score when Matt Heywood scored to make it 2-0. Swindon then almost scored again when Steve Robinson's shot hit the bar, and Alan Young couldn't quite get the ball in the back of the net.

After half time the game died down a bit, with Griemink having to make a couple of good saves to keep Swindon two goals ahead.

Bobby Howe also had a couple of chances the other end, but his shots both went just past the wrong side of the post.

On 83 minutes a Bobby Howe corner found Adam Willis who headed in his first goal for the club.

Swindon also scored again before the end, but again it was disallowed, this time for offside.

Swindon face went home happy for the second time in a week, and Port Vale knew they had been lucky it was only 3-0, it could have been 7, or 8-0.

Swindon now travel to West London on Tuesday to face Brentford, where they hope to pick up another double.

Town have now reached the magic 50 points make nearly 2 months beofre the end of the season, so shoudl be on target for a mid table finish. This will be the first season for a while where fans haven't had to worry about going down.
