Swindon took the lead on 10 minutes thanks to an own goal which was put into the net by Gordon was close range.

On 37 minutes Swindon took a corner, but the linesman flagged. It turned out he had awarded a penalty to Swindon after spotting an off the ball foul on Charlie Austin. This resulted in Tranmere having Terry Gornell sent off. Billy Paynter took the penalty and scored to make it 2-0.

On 56 minutes Charlie Austin took the ball around the Tranmere 'keeper to score and make it 3-0 to Swindon.

Overall an easy win for Swindon.  This moves Swindon back up into 2nd place going into Saturday's away trip to 7th place Colchester United.
