Swindon's last big home win was when we beat Huddersfield 6-0 in 1996, but this was the second time this season where we have scored 5 goals in a game, the other time being the 5-2 away win at Stockport in January.
Swindon had to wait to nearly half time to score their first goal of the game when Sam Parkin scored from close range following a Gurney free kick.
Steve Mildenhall making his return at Swindon in goal for Notts County didn't enjoy the second half in front of the Town End fans after letting in 4 second half goals.
Andy Gurney made in 2-0 to Swindon on the hour mark with a close range shot beating Mildenhall.
A couple of minutes later Swindon had made it 3-0 after an Andy Gurney free kick was hot out for a throwing Parkin then found the ball at his feet and just managed to get the ball in the back of the net at a tight angle.
With Notts County seeing very little of the ball Swindon made it 4-0 on 69 minutes following an Invincibile run down the right hand side which he crossed for David Duke who was on his own in the box to control and hit the back of the net.
After further chances for Swindon Sam Parkin got his 2nd hat trick of the season with a minute to go with another close range shot hitting the back of the net. Swindon could have had a sixth goal in injury time, but had to settle for the 5-0 home win.
This moves Swindon back up to 11th in Division 2 on 50 minutes which should now see Swindon playing Divison 2 football next season as its nearly impossible for use to go up, or down.
Overall a very good game for Swindon which made up for the 3 games against Northampton, Cheltenham and Mansfield. On another day it could have been at least 10-0.
