Swindon went behind after 21 mins when Hill headed Bristol City into a half time lead.
Shortly after half time when referee Uriah Rennie sent Alan Reeves off. Reeves was also earlier in the season against Bristol City at Ashton Gate. Lee Peacock scored straight from the free kick from just outside the area. This gave Swindon a wake up call and from then on they played better.
On Loan signing Dominic Foley was able to score on his first game for Swindon chipping City's keeper from 35 yards out.
King Said after the Game: "
I was disappointed with the way we started the game, since my return, the two games in the league here we started tremendously well, Bournemouth we didn't get what we deserved early on, Bury we did and won the game. Today we started awful, we were lack lustre all over the pitch, we were second and we looked tired. We have to then go down to ten men to find that fire in the belly.
"We didn't give ourselves the chance to get into the game, we quite simply allowed them the incentive. We didn't have good discipline, Reeves, McAreavey all the bookings, and discipline on the park with positions and the way we set play up, balls are being cleared and they are picking them up."
"I was very upset first half, we are 1-0 down and we haven't started against an in form team in the division, and we needed to get in the game. But when we went to ten men it was going to be difficult, but they showed that effort, but it is not good enough in the last 35 minutes of the game. We need the caution to the wind attitude early on."
