It was Luton who had to first real chance of the game, when Rowan Vine beat Rhys Evans in the Swindon goal, but hit the post, and Alan Reeves was able to clear the ball away to safety.
On 24 minutes Luton did take the lead as for some unknown reason the referee gave Luton a penalty, none of the Luton players or fans were expecting a penalty. This was the second penalty given against Swindon in the past two games, both for unknown reasons. Kevin Nicholls took, and scored the penalty.
On 37 minutes Luton made it 2-0, when Rory Fallon scored an own goal following a Luton free kick from 30 yards out. The referee had just given Luton the advantage after allowing play to carry on, even though the Linesman had been waving his flag for an earlier foul.
On 45 minutes Swindon gave themselves a chance, when Sam Parkin scored into an empty net, after finding Luton's 'keeper out of his goal to make the half time score 2-1 to Luton.
On 52 minutes Luton made it 3-1 when poor defending allowed Steve Howard to score a close range header.
On 65 minutes Alan Reeves scored to make it 3-2 to Luton with a headed goal from corner t give Swindon a chance of getting something out of the game.
Andy King bought on 16 year old striker Andy Caton as a replacement for Rory Fallon. Caton did well, but unlike against Wrexham last weekend it was unable to score at last minute goal.
Overall Swindon were not that bad, but poor defending, and a penalty led to Luton winning after they took their chances. Swindon's next game is this Saturday at home to the newly named Wimbledon side now called Milton Keynes Dons.
