Nearly 1,500 Swindon fans made the trip down to Somerset for the localish derby, and as the weather stayed dry this helped the crowd figure which was 7,451.
The match ball arrived by a Royal Navy helicopter, although this didn't last long in use as within a couple of minutes a spare ball was needed as this first one had been hit over the roof of the stands.
Gareth Whalley started his first game for about 3 months, and nearly had to go off injured again early on, but after treatment he was able to carry on.
Swindon started well, but it was Yeovil who went closest in the first half when they hit the post after a header from Paul Terry, but luckily for Swindon they were able to clear the ball away to safety.
Michael Pook and Andy Nicholas both came close in the first half, but neither chance resulted in a goal.
Both sides had half chances, but neither had many goal scoring chances so they score stayed level at 0-0 going into the half time break.
The second half was much like the first. Yeovil did have the ball in the back of the net after 60 minutes but they goal was disallowed for offside.
Jamie Cureton nearly scored on 77 minutes when a cross from Ricky Shakes found Cureton who looked offside, but the flag stayed down, and from 2 yards out he hit the post wit the ball somehow staying out of the net.
Overall a fairly good game, of which a draw was a fair result, maybe 1-1 would have been a better reflection as although limited both sides did have chances in front of goal with neither side looking any better than the other.
The draw moves Swindon up a place to 21st, but still inside the relegation zone going into Saturday's away game with Colchester United.
