It was another mixed month on the pitch starting badly with a 3-0 away defeat at Hartlepool, then a 2-1 home defeat to Walsall, followed by two 0-0 draws at home to Bristol City, then away to Hull in front of 23,125 fans. The month finished off with a 2-1 home win over Tranmere, then ended badly with a 4-0 away feat at Huddersfield which including David Duke and Rory Fallon both getting sent off within a minute of each other just before half time.

Mick Harford left Swindon as assistant manager and joined Rotherham United instead. Steve Robinson and goal keeper Steve Book were both released by Swindon after their contracts were due to expire.

Sam Parkin got called up to play for a Scotland B side, but went off injured in their game against Austria. Season ticket, and match day ticket prices remained the same as the 2004/5 season for this season at £23 each it made Swindon one of the most expensive clubs outside the Premiership.

The County Ground was also fitted with the new colour score board after spending years without a working board.
