Back in June 2005 a number of players left the club including Matt Heywood who joined Bristol City, Brian Howard who joined Barnsley, Matt Hewlett who signed for Torquay and the biggest player to leave was Sam Parkin who signed for Ipswich Town.
Rhys Evans signed a one year deal.(and a year on has just left Swindon) Meanwhile Andy King signed Bolton's Ricky Shakes and Charlie Comyn-Platt, Tony Thrope and Jamie Cureton.
The fixture list was also published with Swindon having an away trip to Barnsley as their opening game.
