September 2005 was a bad month for Swindon, with them losing all five league games. 1-0 away at Walsall, 2-1 at Bournemouth & Southend, 3-2 at home to Bradford, and 1-0 away to Doncaster. At the end of the month Swindon were bottom of League One with only 7 points.
In other news Nicky Summerbee left the club after only playing one game on his return and signed for Tranmere Rovers. Andy Caton was ruled of of action for a year, and has only just returned to the team now.
Andy King refused to quit as manager, but he didn't matter as a week later he was sacked after nearly 4 years in charge at the County Ground.
Iffy Onoura was appointed as manager after being promoted from youth team coach. Mark Devlin also returned to Swindon to become vice chairman after he's left earlier to return to QPR.
